Tessmer, Lenora Louise (12 JAN 1897 - 30 AUG 1985)


Mrs. Lenora Louis Tessmer, 88, Rt. 1, Loyal, Clark County, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Friday, Aug. 30, 1985 at 6:45 p.m.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1985 at 11 a.m. Burial was in West Spencer Cemetery. Rev. William Ruhbusch officiated. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Rodney and Delmer Darge, Bryan Foster, Carlton Tessmer, Ronald and Glen Bingham.

She was born Jan. 12, 1897 in Gardena, N.D. to Harold and Emma (nee Smukal) Bosse. She married Karl A. Tessmer on June 29, 1916 at Dorchester. They farmed in the area. She was a charter member of the Beaver Homemakers Club and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.

She is survived by two sons, Edwin, Belton, Tex., LeRoy, Racine four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Foster, Independence, Mo., Mrs. Mildred Ericksmoen, Owen, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Darge, Racine, Mrs. Harold (Florence) Bingham, Kenosha two brothers, Amos Bosse, Washington State, Walter Bosse, Washington five sisters, Martha Green, Calif., Verna Roberts, Washington, Myrtle Bosse, Washington, Gertrude Clark, Medford 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 8, 1976 four brothers and three grandchildren.

Rux Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
