Heck, Harvey E. (25 OCT 1911 - 9 SEP 1985)


Havey E. Heck, 73, Route 1, Greenwood, Clark County, Town of Eaton, died at his home Monday, Sept. 9, 1985 at 8:22 a.m.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 1985 at United Church of Christ, Greenwood. Burial was in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Rev. Alwyn York officiated. Pallbearers were nephews: Harvey D. Heck, Sheldon Heck, Tracy Heck, Benny Heck, Terry Heck, and Harold Heck.

He was born Oct. 25, 1911 in the town of York to Eli J. and Laura (nee Niederwerefer) Heck. He received his education in the town of York. After his education he started farming with his parents in the town of York. On July 18, 1968 he married Anita D. Hohl (Miller) in Neillsville. They later moved to the town of Eaton, where he farmed the rest of his life. While farming he also did trucking with Eli Heck Sons. He retired from farming about five years ago due to failing health. He passed away following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife two children, Bruce Miller, Stevens Point and Mrs. Frank (Sandra) Hoagland, Kansas City, Kan. two brothers, Ervin Heck, Neillsville, Floyd Heck, Greenwood six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and one twin brother, Harold.

Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville handled the arrangements.
