Turnquist, Carol (14 DEC 1935 - 24 OCT
1985)
Services were held Monday, Oct. 28, 1985 at 2 p.m. for Carol
Turnquist, 49, Rt. 3, Greenwood, Town of Beaver, Clark County. She
died at her home Thursday, Oct. 24, 1985 around 4:40 p.m. Rev.
Norbert Miller officiated the service at Grace United Methodist
Church. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Gordon Wisniewski was
the vocalist, Sandy Maass the pianist. And the high school swing
choir was present. Pallbearers were Earl Caliebe, Tennes Navrestad,
Mike Meyers, Clayton Braun Jr., Knute Wallin, and Dudley
Wallin.
She was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Greenwood to Glen and Nina (nee West)
Drew. She received her education in Greenwood High School,
graduating in 1953 and Whitewater State College, graduating in
1957. On April 6, 1968 she married James Turnquist in Greenwood.
She taught for many years in Milwaukee and Greenwood. She was
secretary for the Greenwood Alumni Association and was voted the
outstanding alumni in 1983. She was a member of Grace United
Methodist Church and was a music leader for the Braun 4-H Club.
Serving are her husband, James, Greenwood two daughters, Mrs. Paul
(Lisa) Schreiner, Marshfield and Christina, at home one son,
Arthur, at home her mother, Mrs. Nina Drew, Greenwood two brothers,
Dan, Portage, Ronald, West Allis one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Gladys)
Raynor, Sumter, S.C. and two grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Arrangements were handled by Rinka Funeral Home.
