Swiech, Clara (26 SEP 1912 - 6 NOV 1985)
Mrs. John (Clara) Sweich, 73, died Wednesday at Neillsville
Memorial Home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Martyrs Chapel, City
Point. The Rev. Francis Manel will officiate. Mrs. Brian Reshel
will be the organist. Burial will be in City Point Catholic
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home,
Pittsville, and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Saturday. There will
be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The former Clara Kania was born Sept. 26, 1912 in City Point, and
educated there. She married John Swiech Oct. 21, 1930 in City
Point. They farmed in that area until 1980, when they moved to the
Greenwood Housing, where they lived for five years. She then spent
three months with her daughter and entered the nursing home in
February of this year. Her husband survives.
She was a member of Martyr's Chapel.
Surviving besides her husband John, Neillsville, Clark County, are
one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Henchen, Greenwood one son,
Bernard, City Point three grandchildren and one brother, Clarence
Kania, Black River Falls.
She was predeceased by two sisters.
