Keiner, Elisabeth (14 DEC 1897 - 20 NOV 1985)
Elisabeth Keiner, 87, formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, residing
at the Colby Home for the past two years and before that in the
Greenwood Home, died Nov. 20, 1985.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church,
Nov. 22, 1985. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Dick Larson, Floyd Plautz, Merril Hare, Herman Metzke, Leon
Kuester, and Harlan Brux. Rev. Robert Streveler officiated.
She was born Elisabeth Obernberger on Dec. 14, 1897 in the
Stratford area. She married Henry Keiner on Oct. 23, 1923 in
Winona, Minn. They owned and operated a tavern in the Rock Dam area
for 20 years. After her husband's death she moved to the city of
Greenwood.
She was a charter member of Greenwood Auxiliary, St. Mary's Church
and St. Ann's Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Marseilles) Nactwey,
Los Angeles, Calif. three brothers, John, Halder, Louie, Stratford,
Frank, Stratford four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Miller, Racine, Helen
Franklin, St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Mary Weigel, Stratford, Mrs.
Gert Brehm, Racine, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and
one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband on March 20, 1962 and one
brother.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
