Batchelor, Bruce (26 AUG 1968 - 27 NOV 1985)


Funeral services for Bruce Batchelor, 17, of 301 S. Main, Loyal, Clark County, were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 1985, at the United Methodist Church, Loyal.

Bruce died at about 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1985, as a result of a traffic accident.

Officiating at the service was Rev. C. Arlene Denzer. Serving as pallbearers were Dan Gluch, John Anderegg, Brian Morrow, Tim Lindner, Todd Olson and Tom Abrahamson. The body was cremated.

Bruce Batchelor was born to James and Jeannine (nee Hoffman) Batchelor on Aug. 26, 1968, at Chippewa Falls. He was vice-president of his junior class, was active in football, baseball and basketball, was in the all-Cloverbelt Conference Band, was in the school play, was nominated for Distinguished American Student and was an avid sportsman, loving hunting and fishing.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Loyal Sportsman's Club, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA.

Surviving him are his parents one brother, Lance of Stevens Point two sisters, Jana and Amy, both at home and grandparents, Mrs. Genevieve Hoffman of Cuba City, Wis. and Harry Batchelor of Boscobel, Wis.

Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.
