Ehlert, Bernice B. (4 NOV 1904 - 20 OCT 2001)
Bernice B. Ehlert, 96, Abbotsford, died on
Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at the Continental Manor Nursing Home,
Abbotsford, where she had resided since Feb. 2001. Funeral services
were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Maurina Funeral
Home, Abbotsford, The Rev. Carl Swarr, pastor of the Curtiss
Alliance Church, officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Public
Cemetery. Pallbearers were LaVern Ehlert, Patrick Ehlert, Brian
Ehlert, Randall Ehlert, Peter Zielinski, and Matthew Ehlert.
Bernice B. Thwing was born on Nov. 4, 1904, in the town of Beaver,
Clark County, to Williamette and Clara (nee Scovil) Thwing. She
married Albert F. Ehlert on Sept. 24, 1924. A homemaker, she lived
in the Loyal-Greenwood area and had lived in Owen since 1975,
moving to Abbotsford in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Leland "Lee" Ehlert, Abbotsford, and
Clyde (Rosina) Ehlert, Edgerton one sister-in-law, Nora Thwing,
Clintonville nine grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and four
great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert, on July 3, 1984
one daughter, Genevieve Smith in 1998 and two infant children,
Gordon and Mary Jane.
Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, assisted the family with
arrangements.
