Worden, Jean I. (24 OCT 1928 - 26 NOV 2001)

Jean I. Worden, 73, Greenwood, Clark County, died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Community Alliance Church, Withee. The Revs. Tom Gonzalez, Ron Clason and Carl Swarr officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Jean Ione Berrett was born on Oct. 24, 1928, in Clark County to Verland and Geneva (nee Davis) Berrett. She received her education in the Greenwood School District, graduating in 1946. She married Robert Worden on June 13, 1946. She was the Greenwood School District secretary and bookkeeper for 24 years and then manager of the Greenwood Cooperative Credit Union for 16 years. She retired in 1988. She was a member of Community Alliance Church, Withee.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, Greenwood three children, Taree (Colleen) Worden, Green Bay, Denise (Chuck) Lindner, Greenwood, and Scott (Romona) Worden, Greenwood one brother, James (Karen) Berrett, Naples, Fla. four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and one brother, Duane.
