McPherson, Douglas Allan (2 SEP 1909 - 26 FEB 1984)
Graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28,
1984, at the Loyal Cemetery for Douglas Allan McPherson, 74, of
Lake Bluff, Ill., formerly of Loyal, Clark County.
Mr. McPherson died on Sunday, Feb. 26, 1984, at a VA Hospital in
Illinois.
Douglas McPherson was born in Bently, Canada on Sept. 2, 1909, the
son of William and Stena (nee Severson) McPherson.
He was married to Dorothy Poulton on Jan. 17, 1933, at Loyal. They
lived and farmed in the Loyal area until moving to Marshfield,
where he worked for Armour Poultry. For the past 20 years he had
been living in Lake Bluff, Ill.
He was a mason and member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy two daughters, Mrs. James
(Alice) Hauan of Fargo, N.D. and Mrs. Hobart (Leah) Sailor of West
Allis, Wis. six Grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled local arrangements.
