Schultz, Alfred (7 FEB 1916 - 26 MAY
1984)
Alfred Schultz, 68, Route 1, Town of Beaver,
Clark County, died early Saturday morning at the Neillsville
Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, may 29, 1984,
at the Rinka Funeral Home. Rev. C Arlene Denzer officiated and
burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Alfred Schultz was born Feb. 7, 1916 in the Town of Beaver. He
attended the Beaver School.
On Sept. 29, 1943, in Loyal, he married Fern Bishop. He farmed from
1946 to 1968 in the Town of Beaver, then worked 5 years at
Trailblazer in Spencer and 10 years at Streckert's Mfg. at
Abbotsford. He retired in Dec. 1983.
He served as a Sergeant in World War II from 1942 to 1945. In the
European Theater he received a Bronze Star. Full military rites
were conducted by the Loyal American Legion.
He served on the Beaver Center School Board for a number of
years.
Surviving him are his wife, Fern two sons, Richard of Spencer and
Robert of Loyal four sisters, Mrs. Elva Glazer of Stevens Point,
Mrs. Elsie Haueter of Leesberg, Fla., Mrs. Ray (Adeline) Kuentze of
Florida and Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Stikl of Milwaukee one brother,
Melvin of Boise , Idaho three grandsons and one granddaughter.
Serving as pallbearers were Glen Bloom, Allen Meyer, Russ Johnson,
Daryl Rowley, Bill Locstscher and Gary Scheel. Mrs. Erwin Dux was
the soloist and Mrs. Ruth Zepplin the organist. Rinka Funeral Home
handled arrangements.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William and Lillie (nee
Schoch) Schultz one granddaughter three sisters and three
brothers.
