Nettie Amelia Philpott, 90, Loyal, Clark
County, died Monday morning, Aug. 13, 1984.
Rev. Arlene C. Denzer will be officiating the funeral services
being held Friday, Aug. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rinka Funeral Home
in Loyal. Burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Mrs. Philpott was born on March 13, 1894 at Silver Creek in
Sheboygan County, Wis. She was the third child in a family of nine
children of the family of George Gustave and Elizabeth Katie
Goehring.
On Oct. 2, 1913 she was united in marriage with Lacey Delevan
Philpott at the Methodist Church in Loyal.
She was an active member of the Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid
Society. The Eastern Star, the Rebecca and the Auxiliary of
American Legion.
Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1960.
Surviving her passing in her immediate family are: her daughter,
Mrs. Kenneth (Eileen) Dobson of Negaunee, Mich. her son, Delbert
Eugene Philpott of Sunnyvale, Calif. her two grandchildren, Mrs.
Nancy Dobson Hocking of Ester, Alaska and Dennis Dobson of Jackson,
Mo. her great-grandchild, David Dennis Dobson of Jackson, Mo. her
one sister, Mrs. Sara Catlin of Marshfield and her brother, Dr.
Harry Goehring of Pharr, Texas.
Rinka Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
