IRENE COLLIER
Irene Agnes Collier, 67, Marshfield, formerly
of the Owen-Withee, Clark County area, died Saturday, Aug. 10,
1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital House of the Dove, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, at
the Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood. Rev. David Summerfield
officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee.
Pallbearers were Jarrad Stelter, Bruce Anderson, Tim Von Haden, Tom
Henke, William Henke and Joe Perkovich.
Irene Agnes Von Haden was born on Dec. 28, 1928, in Eau Claire, to
Adolph and Katherine (nee Wagner) Von Haden. She married Elton
Collier on April 9, 1959, in Waukon, Iowa. She was employed as a
nurse's aid in Eau Claire. After their marriage, they resided in
Greenwood and later moved to Niagara Falls, New York, where her
husband was employed with an electric power plant. They returned to
live in the Owen-Withee area for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Elton Collier, Marshfield Nursing
Rehabilitation Center three daughters, Judie (Wayne) Stromley,
stationed with the armed forces in Germany Elizabeth, (Clay) Capen,
Marshfield and Eloise (Anthony) Dolle, Loyal one son, Derrick
(Annette) Collier, Neillsville four sisters, Esther (Kenneth)
Stelter, Bloomer Barbara (Leonard) Anderson, Cadott Mary (Don)
Henke, Stanley and Dorothy (Don) Perkovich, Augusta four brothers,
Dean (Joy) Von Haden, Osseo Leonard (Pat) Von Haden, Osseo John Von
Haden, Augusta and James (Mary) Von Haden, Fall Creek 11
grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents one infant daughter,
Elaine and one infant son, Jackie.
Maurina Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
