Carteron, Vivian (22 MAR 1899 - 22 SEP 1984)
Vivian (Viv) Carteron, 85, 300 E. Division, Greenwood, Clark
County, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 1984 at 2:50 a.m. at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were performed by Rev. Norbert Miller at the
United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1984.
Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Denis
Carteron, John Carteron, Louis Kretlow, Fred Harp, Gerald Richmond,
and Jesse Richmond.
Mr. Carteron was born March 22, 1899 in Belleville, Wis., Dane
County, to Olamp and Olive (nee Best) Carteron. He received his
education in rural Belleville schools. On June 13, 1928 he married
Mary Richmond in Greenwood. They celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary in 1978. They came to Greenwood in 1914. He farmed all
his life in the Town of Eaton until 1971, when he moved into the
City of Greenwood.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, he served many
years as president of the Greenwood Milk Products Corp. and many
years on the Eaton School board.
He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, two daughters, Mrs. Allison
(Lorraine) Dittmar of Watertown and Mrs. Cyril (Beverly) Spangler
of Watertown one brother, Neale of Yacaipa, Calif. six
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
