Wendt, Diane (28 FEB 1946 - 13 NOV 1984)

Diane Wendt, 38, of Route 1, Owen, Clark County, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, 1984, at the Hospice Center at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood, on Friday, Nov. 17, 1984, at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Richard Sorenson will officiate. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Pallbearers will be Dick Olson, Duane Olson, Melvin Niemi, David Friske, Jeff Karlen and Wayne Nielsen.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9 p.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

Diane Wirtala was born Feb. 28, 1946, at Stanley to William and Vendla (nee Ranta) Wirtala. She received her education at Owen-Withee schools, graduating in 1964. She graduated from the University of Wis. - Eau Claire in 1967. She was a teacher at Greenwood High School from 1967 to 1976.

She and Dennis Wendt were married on Aug. 12, 1967 at Greenwood.

Survivors include her husband one son, Darren two daughters, Julie and Lisa, all at home her mother, Vendla Wirtala of Thorp one sister, Carole Wirtala of Milwaukee and six brothers, Bill of Greenwood, Eddie of LaCrosse, Dave of Roanoke, Texas, Nick of Curtiss, Mike of Thorp and Chuck of Withee.

She was predeceased by her father, William and one sister, Lois.
