Rossow, Verlin H. (12 FEB 1924 - 22 NOV 1984)
Funeral services for Verlin (Bill) H. Rossow, 60, Route 1, Loyal,
Clark County, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 1984 at the
Rinka Funeral Home. He died at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 22, 1984 at the V.A.
Hospital.
The Rev. Joseph R. Kraly officiated the service with interment in
the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Langfeldt, George
Zuehlke, Eugene Stumpner, Walter Hoover, Dick Andraska and Gilbert
Loos.
Mr. Rossow was born Feb. 12, 1924 in the Town of Beaver to Charles
and Tina (nee Larson) Rossow. He received his education in the Town
of York Lincoln School. On March 21, 1955 in Eugene, Oregon he
married Muriel McManus. They lived in Eugene, Oregon for 9 years
working in sawmills. They then moved to the Town of Beaver where he
farmed and hauled milk for Miller Cheese Factory for 10 years. He
drove school bus for the Loyal School District.
He was a World War II army veteran and served from 1943 to 1945. He
was a member of the Loyal American Legion.
Full Military rites were conducted by the Loyal American
Legion.
He is survived by his wife two sons, William at home and Dennis of
Loyal three brothers, Glen Rossow of Loyal, Mervin Rossow of
Junction City, Oregon, and Gib Rossow of Black Creek, Wis. three
sisters, Mrs. Lila Dankemeyer of West Bend, Mrs. Beulah Bremmer of
Pearson, and Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Schmidt of Pearson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
