Keuer, Raymond E. (11 FEB 1916 - 15 MAR 2002)


Raymond E. Keuer, 86, Granton, Clark County, died on Friday, March 15, 2002, at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 18, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. John Trewyn officiated. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Granton. Pallbearers were Lloyd Swenson, David Hillert, Iyron Handke, Terry Garbisch, Paul Dunnigan and Erlin Dahl.

Raymond E. Keuer was born on Feb. 11, 1916, in the town of Lynn, to Ernest and Laura (nee Wiesner) Keuer. He received his education at the Mayflower Grade School and graduated from Granton High School in 1935. He married Viola Pischer on May 2, 1936, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage. He worked for the Elmer Marg Garage for a year, then farmed in the town of Lynn before eventually moving to Marshfield. He was a carpenter and built 60 homes in the Granton, Loyal and Marshfield areas. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton.

Survivors include his wife, Viola one daughter, Annabelle (Ronald) Garbisch, Granton three grandchildren, Robert (Wanda) Garbisch, Altoona, Tammy (Paul) Dunnigan, Green Bay, and Terry Garbisch, Granton two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Laura and one sister, Arlene Zalabsky, Pittsville.

Preceding him in death were his parents one son, Edward, in 1964 one grandson, Bradley, in 1971 one sister, Edna Zalabsky and two brothers, Leslie and Herbert.

Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
