Novak, Mary (22 AUG 1912 - 31 MAR 2002)
OWEN - Mary Agnes Novak, 89, Thorp, formerly
of Owen, died March 31, 2002, at Victory Medical Center in
Stanley.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic
Church in Owen. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Maurina Funeral
Home in Owen where there will be a combined parish and PCCW rosary
at 7 p.m.
She was born Aug. 22, 1912, in Chicago to John and Frances Luzovec.
She married Carl Arnold "Arnie" Malmgren in 1934 in Chicago. Arnie
died May 1953. Mary later married Louis Novak in 1954. Mary and
Arnie, and later Mary and Louis, operated the Club Delite Bowling
Alley in Owen.
She is survived by her son Tom (Donna) Malmgren of Spencer, Iowa
and one grandson.
