NEILLSVILLE - Ellen "Babe" Hansen, 87, of Neillsville, died April 2,. 2002, at Memorial Nursing Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Ellen Duffy Howard was born May 30, 1914, in Highland Township, Clayton County, Iowa to Harvey and Eunice (Miller) Howard. She married Melnard Hansen on May 24, 1934, in Neillsville and he predeceased her.

She is survived by her children, Ginger (Bill) Freeman of Janesville and Larry Hansen of Eagle Bend, Minn. five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Lola Tomlinson of Neillsville and Doris (Clarence) Nehlich of Eureka, S. D.
