Rollins, John (1806 - 16 FEB 1881)
Died at his residence in the town of Fremont, Clark County, Wis.,
Wednesday evening, Feb. 16, 1881, Mr. John Rollins, aged 74 years
and 6 months, after an illness of but a few days duration.
The deceased, who was well known to many residents of this county,
and for several years a resident of Adams County, in this state,
was born in the state of Vermont. He was a man possessed of many
noble qualities, and his death is deeply regretted by a community
in which for several years he had led a most useful life. A dutiful
husband, a kind and indulgent father, a generous friend and the
kindest of neighbors, his death is unanimously regretted, and his
sorrow-stricken wife and family have the sympathy of the entire
community. The funeral services were held at the Windfall
schoolhouse, Friday, Feb. 18, conducted by Rev. J. A. Benton.
