Atwater, E.E. ( - 1881)
A man named E. E. Atwater, who had been in the employ of W. T.
Price as a teamster for several years past, fell into the flume at
the flood dam on O'Neill Creek, about two mile above this place
(Neillsville, Clark County), yesterday, and was carried under a
log-jam just below, and drowned. The accident happened about noon.
The body was recovered several hours later and brought to this
place and prepared for burial, after which it was forwarded to his
friends, who live in the town of Irving, Jackson County.
