Died, in this village (Neillsville, Clark County), May 7, 1881, Daniel A. Stannard, aged 73 years, 6 months and 7 days.

The deceased was born in Georgia, Vermont, Oct. 19, 1807. He became a resident of the state of New York about forty years ago, and lived for over thirty years at Brasher Falls, where he was ever held in high esteem. His residence at this place was but brief, having come west only last fall. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his death. His children are John D. and Charles Stannard, well known citizens in this place, Mrs. Alma Marsh, of Brasher Falls, Mrs. Helen Hapgood, of Greeley, Col., and Miss Betsy Stannard, now living with her widowed mother at this place.

The funeral took place from the residence on Sunday last.
