Brown, Ann (10 JAN 1805 - 18 DEC 1882)
Died, in the town of Weston, Clark County, Dec. 18, 1882, at the
residence of her daughter, Mrs. Augustus Smith, Mrs. Ann Brown,
aged 77 years, 11 months and 8 days.
Mrs. Brown was born in Denton Lincolnshire, England. She came to
America and settled in Buffalo County, N.Y., in 1842. Wither her
husband she moved to West Bend, Wis., about 34 years ago, and to
Clark County about 11 years ago. Her husband died seven years ago.
Mrs. Brown was well known as a woman whose friendship could be
relied on. Amidst all the trials of life she maintained a firm
trust in Christ. During her last years she was a member of the
Presbyterian Church of Neillsville. Her funeral was attended from
the residence, when her pastor spoke briefly of her life and her
triumph of faith.
