Died, at the home of his parents in the town of Lynn, Clark County, Jan. 4th, 1883, Carl Handke, son of Gottlieb Handke, aged 18 years.

Wondering if there is any connection to the Handkes on this site and the Handkes that came to American circa 1869-80 and settled in Doniphan County, Kansas. Many decedents are still there. There must be a connection. I am guessing they might have been cousins. According to my records Gottlieb, Johann Gottfried, and Henrick William all arrived within this time frame with their families. I am a decendent of Gottlieb. His daughter Pauline Handke would be my great grandmother. I would love to know if there has been any connections. thanks!
