ERWIN DUX
Erwin Herman Dux, 82, Loyal, Clark County,
died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996, at Colonial House Nursing
Rehabilitation Center, Colby.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 1996, at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph Kraly and Rev. Bruno
Schlachtenhaufen officiated. Jean Abel was the organist. Burial was
in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Dux, Nathan Noeldner, Jerry Noeldner, Harold
Dahl, Ray Oestreich and Lowell Roehl.
Erwin Herman Dux was born on Sept. 8, 1914, in the Town of York, to
Frank and Hilda (nee Wegner) Dux.
He was born and raised on the family farm south of Loyal. He
graduated from Loyal High School in 1934. After school, he hauled
milk for Stanley Stevens. He married Martha Noeldner on June 12,
1940, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. She survives. After their
marriage, they farmed for 35 years. In 1975, they moved into Loyal
and he worked part-time at Loyal IGA. At the same time, he
continued to work on the farm, which he truly enjoyed. He entered
the nursing home in May of 1993 and resided there until the time of
his death. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was
a head usher for several years, a member of the Adult Fellowship
Group and a past member of the church Dartball team. He was also a
charter member of the Loyal Circle 8 Square Dance Club.
Survivors include his wife two daughters, Marjorie (Richard) Rohde,
Greenwood and Sharon (Darrel) Counard, Richfield two sons, Robert
(Sue) Dux, Marshfield and Dennis Dux, Loyal 10 grandchildren two
step-grandchildren two great-grandchildren and one brother, Verland
(Laura) Dux, Loyal.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
