Downer, Mary (1841 - 5 MAY 1884)

Died, at Hixton, Jackson County, May 5th, 1884, Mrs. Mary Downer, wife of Franklin Downer, aged 44 years, and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Hewett of Neillsville, and was born at Minerva, Essex County, N.Y., in 1841, and was married to Mr. Downer in 1864, since which time she has resided at Hixton. She is one of a family of eight children, four boys and four girls, five of whom are still living, three girls and two boys, but are girls and boys no longer. Her remains were brought her for burial in the Neillsville Cemetery, where repose her father, mother and brother. Another brother is buried at their native home in Essex County, N.Y.

Deceased was a sister of James Hewett, Esq. Of this city (Neillsville, Clark County)
