Doern, Ellen (1844 - 27 MAY 1884)
Died, in her late home in the town of Unity, Clark County, May 27,
1884, Ellen, wife of Christian Doern, in the 40th year of her
age.
Deceased had been an invalid for several years, and her death
seemed directed by the hand of a merciful Providence. A fond wife
and loving mother, her only desire to lived seemed to be but to add
to the happiness of her family, which consists of a husband and
four children. She was universally esteem by all who knew her, and
her loss will be severely felt in the circle in which she moved.
The funeral took place at Unity, May 29th, Rev. C.C. Schwartz
speaking words of cheer and comfort to the afflicted family. A
large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives followed the
remains to their last resting place, bidding a tearful adieu to
one, who, although not being a member of any church, was conceded
to be a true Christian and her mourning ones may rest assured sh is
"not lost, but gone before".
