Prichard, Ellen M. (1854 - 21 SEP 1884)
Died, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Sept. 21st, 1884,
Mrs. Ellen M. Prichard, wife of S.F. Prichard, aged 30 years, 1
month and 14 days.
Mrs. Prichard was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Pease, of the
town of York. Having been born in Sheboygan County, she was for
several years previous to her marriage a resident of this county.
She was the mother of three children, all boys. Tow of these were
twins, one of which died Sept. 21st, aged about 5 months. The
funeral took place from the Dwyer school house on Monday last,
attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Mother and
child were placed in one coffin. The sermon was preached by Rev.
W.T. Hendren, of Neillsville, and the body was laid away to rest in
the cemetery in near Neillsville. Mrs. Prichard had been a severe
but patient sufferer for several months. Her disease was dropsy.
She retained her reason to the last, and died in hope of a blessed
resurrection through Christ.
