Ferguson, George (AUG 1850 - 25 MAR 1886)
Died, at his residence in the town of Weston, Arch 25, 1886, George
Ferguson, aged 35 years.
Born at Girard, Ohio, Aug. 1850, and having come to Clark Co.,
Wis., in may 1870, he was married to Miss Angie Reber, Oct. 28th,
1875. His mother was with him during the last few weeks of his
illness. Four brothers and four sisters are still living, a portion
of whom were privileged to attend the funeral. His only child, a
daughter of eight years, his joy and his pride, remains to comfort
her mother in this sad bereavement.
For a long time Mr. Ferguson's health had been quiet delicate. Two
years ago he made an extended tour in the far west, which doubtless
had something to do with the continuation of his health and life.
But at the last it was discovered that Bright's disease had seized
him for a victim. He sought the best medical counsel, and for a
time hoped for a gradual recovery. For a while he hoped against
hope, but at the last, after long weeks of patient suffering, e saw
that death was drawing near, then calmly and hopefully, he bade
adieu to scenes of earth, while dear ones mourned the loss of one
whose love and tenderness cannot be forgotten.
The funeral was attended on Sunday last, from the residence of Mr.
Fred Reber, his father-in-law, Rev. W. T. Hendren officiating.
