Schuster, Lonis (1860 - 1 NOV 1886)

Died, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), Nov. 1st, 1886, of consumption, Lonis Schuster, aged 26 years.

That "death loves a shining mark" was never more clearly shown than in the death of this young man. Generous, talented, of a genial disposition, he was loved and respected by all who knew him. But two short years ago, everything seemed bright and cheerful to him. He had just established himself in a lucrative business, and the future gave promise of a glorious success in his endeavors. But, "God's finger touched him and he sleeps." He was the son of our fellow townsman, Herman Schuster, who by this bereavement is left to mourn blighted hopes in the sad winding up of a life which had opened so full of promise. God pity him. The writer knows what it is to be thus bereaved has felt all the anguish connected with it, and knows how to sympathize with the stricken father, mother and relatives.
