Youmans, Adeline (OCT 1821 - 30 OCT 1888)

Died, in the town of Pine Valley, Oct. 30th, 1888, after a week's illness, Mrs. Adeline Youmans, aged 67 years.

Mrs. Youmans, whose maiden name was Adeline Sill, was born in Bethany, Genesee County, N.Y., in Oct. 1821, and was married to J. H. Youmans in May 1843. They lived a short time at Hermitage, in Wyoming County, and then moved to Buffalo, where they resided nearly two years. In 1845 they moved to Kenosha, Wis., residing there until 1852, when they moved to Arlington, Columbia County, where they resided until 1872, when they again changed their residence to Sumner, Baron County and in 1883 removed to Clark County, where they have since had their home. She leaves a husband and four children, Mr. C.A. and H.J. Youmans, Miss Mattie Youmans, who lives in this city and Mrs. Bosworth, who lives in Sumner, Baron County. They were all present at the funeral. Mrs. Youmans at the age of 14 united with the Presbyterian Church in her native village and has ever since lived a practical Christian life, loved and respected by all who had the good fortune to form an acquaintance with her. The funeral took place at her late residence today and the services were conducted by the Rev. W. T. Hendren, of whose church she has long been an honored member. She has passed to the realms of the blest, mourned by the husband who has lost a loving wife by her children, who have lost a kind and affectionate mother, by many friends who have lost a sympathetic congenial spirit. May she rest in peace.
