Ure, Mrs. George A. ( - 18 MAR 1889)

Died, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County), March 18, 1889, after four weeks of intense suffering, of Premia, Mrs. Geo. A. Ure, wife of Capt. Geo A. Ure of the Neillsville Times.

The deceased was a daughter of Rev. J.D. Brothers, editor of the Times and was a highly accomplished lady, esteemed and loved by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. Only those who have lost their dearly loved children can realize the poignant grief of the father and mother in their being compelled to look their last upon all that is mortal of a favorite daughter, and we know that words of sympathy from kindest friends will not assuage the grief that wrings their hearts, no mater how well intended, still we cannot forbear, friend Brothers, from extending to you and yours, the tenderest sympathy of one who has passed through the same agonizing ordeal, and trust, as we know it will, that time will alleviate your affliction, which now weighs so heavily upon you. To the husband, who has thus been deprived of all that life held dear, the wife of his youth, we proffer our sincere condolence. It is hard to part from those we love, but we have the satisfaction of believing it is not forever that sometime we shall meet again in a land brighter and fairer than this. Let this though comfort you: She is not dead God's finger touched her, and she sleeps.
