Celar, Frank (16 Dec. 1920 - 4 Jan. 1994)
Frank Celar, 73, Willard, Clark County, died
Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994, at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital
emergency room. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan.
7, 1994, at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Rev. Gene Lackore
officiated. Burial will take place in the Neillsville City Cemetery
at a later date.
Frank Celar was born on Dec. 16, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to
Lawrence and Marian (nee Zavel) Celar. At the age of five, he moved
with his family to a farm in the Willard area. He received his
education at the Willard School and Worchel Country School. After
his education, he entered the Civilian Conservation Corp, and was
stationed in Perkinstown. He then farmed with his father near
Willard. He married Darlene Krejci on Oct. 20, 1951, in
Neillsville. She survives. They farmed for 20 years and then raised
Polled Herefords until the time of his death. He was a member of
the Wisconsin Trapper Association and was a very avid
outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife one brother, William (Ruth) Celar,
Neillsville one sister, Mrs. Fred (Bernyce) Barr, Willard several
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one
nephew.
Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
