Timmer, Hiram (1835 - FEB 1892)
Mr. Hiram Timmer,
who resides one and a half miles from Chili in the town of Fremont,
Clark County, while assisting in loading logs on sleighs, the
swamp-hook lost its hold on a log they were loading, which rolled
back onto Mr. Timmer, catching him his between the logs on the
skids, crushing him so that it caused an internal rupture which
cause his death.
Mr. Trimmer is about 56 years of age and has resided in the town of
Fremont a number of years, and has cleared for himself a farm of
about forty acres, which was covered with heavy timber, and has
been a hard working man all his life. He leaves a wife and three
children to mourn his untimely demise, and a host of sympathizing
friends and neighbors. He was buried in the cemetery in Fremont, on
Monday, a large number of friends attending.
