Sebold, Geraldine M. (12 NOV 1913 - 16 APR 2002)
DORCHESTER - Geraldine M. Sebold, 88,
Dorchester, died April 16, 2002, at the Continental Manor in
Abbotsford.
Funeral services for Geraldine will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the
Salem United Methodist Church in Dorchester. Rev. Irving Case will
officiate and burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial
Cemetery.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 10:30 a.m. until
12:30 p.m. today at the Maurina Funeral Home.
Geraldine Mae Herman was born Nov. 12, 1913, in Dorchester, the
daughter of Arthur and Nora (nee Krakenberger) Herman. She was a
graduate of Dorchester High School. Geraldine and Louis J. Sebold
were united in marriage on Feb. 24, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minn.
A homemaker, Geraldine devoted her entire life to always caring for
others and raising her three children. She was a caring grandmother
and great-grandmother. She and Louis resided in Dorchester all of
their lives. She was the first librarian of Dorchester. Geraldine
was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion
Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors.
Geraldine will be dearly missed by her husband of 70 years, Louis
Sebold of Dorchester sons, D. David "Dewey" Sebold of Medford and
Russell J. (Gloria) Sebold of Marco Island, Fla. grandchildren, Jon
R. (Jamie) Sebold and Nicole D. Sebold, all of Marco Island, Fla.
great-grandson, Bryce T. Sebold of Marco Island brother, Clifford
(Mildy) Herman of Dorchester two sisters, Myrtle (Tom) Glasbrenner
of DeForest and Dorothy Hartman of Marshfield and her
sister-in-law, Ellie Herman of Omro.
She was preceded in death by her parents daughter, Gwen D. Sebold
on July 31, 1974 two brothers, James Herman and Kenneth Herman and
brother-in-law, Fred Hartman.
Memorials may be given in Geraldine's name to the Gwen D. Sebold
Fellowship at the Marshfield Medical Research Foundation.
