Gerber, Francis (28 MAY 1928 - 9 MAY 2002)
Francis "Frank" Gerber, 73, Hagerman, Idaho, died on Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center, Twin Falls, Idaho. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buhl, Idaho. The Rev. Mark Latham officiated.
Private burial services were to be held in South Green Grove, Unity. Francis Gerber was born on May 28, 1928, in Hazelton, N.D., to Adam and Cora (nee Knudson) Gerber.
He was raised in North Dakota and received his education there. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He married Ethel Schuette on Aug. 17, 1957, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Unity. They resided in California, where he worked for the Orange County Road Department from 1957 until retiring in 1979. They then moved to Hagerman, where he resided until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel, Hagerman, Idaho two sisters, Louraine (Peter) Schmidt, Seattle, Wash., and Connie (Harold) Johnson, Moses Lake, Wash. and one brother, Grant (Sylvia) Gerber, Lake Elsinore, Calif. Preceding him in death was one brother, Bruce. Demaray Funeral Chapel, Gooding, Idaho, assisted the family with arrangements.
