Redmond, Elmer E. (JUN 1842 - 2 NOV 1894)

Elmer E. Redmond died at his home in the town of York, Clark County, on Friday, Nov. 2nd, 1894, at the age of 52 years and 5 months from abscesses of the stomach.

Elmer Redmond was born in Somerset County, Maine, and when but a child came to Clark County with his parents. He and a twin sister were the younger of a family of thirteen. Mr. Redmond leaves a wife and two children, besides brothers, sisters and aged parents.

He was an industrious, kind hearted man, and looked well to the care of his aged parents, who lived with him, and was highly respected by all. This was demonstrated by the large turnout of people at his funeral, which was held in the M.E. Church at York on Sunday forenoon at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G.N. Foster. The remains were brought to Neillsville and interred in the city Cemetery.
