Brown, Crasance (1808 - 19 OCT 1896)
Died, Crasance Brown, at her home in Pleasant Ridge, Clark County,
Monday morning, Oct. 19, 1896, of old age and dropsy, at the age of
88 years.
Mrs. Brown was born in Baden, Germany, where she was married to J.
J. Brown. They came to America and settled in Milwaukee in 1846,
where they resided six years, when they moved to Stevens Point,
living there about twelve years, then came to Clark County in 1864
and settled in Pleasant Ridge, where they have since resided. Mr.
Brown died in 1895. Mrs. Brown leaves six children, four sons,
Jacob, Henry, Joseph and Peter, and two daughters, Mrs. Katie Buss
and Flora Brown, all of whom either reside in this city or in
Pleasant Ridge.
The funeral was held at the Pleasant Ridge Church, Wednesday, and
the remains were buried in the Neillsville Cemetery, Rev. Hill
officiating.
This lady was a Christian lady and of very charitable disposition,
well liked by all who knew her.
