MRS. ERNESTINE NITSCHKE

Funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Nitschke, 79, were conducted at her home at 1:30 p.m. and at the American Lutheran church of Granton at 2 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, December 5 (1945). The Rev. Leonard Domke officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Nitschke died in her sleep Sunday, December 2, at her home near Granton.

Ernestine Nitschke was born in Sheboygan county, December 7, 1866, to Carl and Anna Roder. She came to Clark County with her parents as a small child, settling with them in the town of Grant, where she received her education and became a member of the Lutheran church.

After her marriage to Ernest Nitschke June 2, 1890, she and her husband settled on a farm in the town of Lynn, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Surviving are four children: Arnold, and Mrs. Lydia Guenther, who live on the home farm Elsie, Mrs. Arthur dux, town of Pine Valley Leonora, Mrs. Bert Vorpagel, Burlington. There are also four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Her husband and one son, Paul, preceded her in death.
