Brown, J. J. (1802 - 24 APR 1895)
J. J. BROWN died at his home in the Town of
Grant, Wed., April 24, 1895, at the age of 93, after an illness of
17 weeks, caused by a stroke of
paralysis. Mr. Brown was born in Baden, Germany in 1802. He came to
the U.S. in 1846, and located in Milwaukee, where he resided 6 yrs,
then moved to Stevens Point, WI, and lived there 13 years, after
which he moved to Clark County and settled in Pleasant Ridge, where
he has resided for 31 years.
He leaves a wife, 4 sons, 2 daughters. The funeral services were
held at the Pleasant Ridge Church, Saturday afternoon, and the
remains were interred
in the Neillsville Cemetery.
