Strzok, Edmund Leonard (24 August 1925 - 2 January 2013)

Edmund Leonard Strzok, 87, formerly of Stanley, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley. He was born August 24, 1925, in Thorp, the son of the late Ignatz and Genevieve (Polnaszek) Strzok. Ed grew up in the Gilman area and moved to Stanley in 1972 while working for CRI for many years. He later worked for various farmers in the area. In 2005 he moved to Thorp to reside at Oakbrook Health & Rehab Center where he enjoyed being with his many friends.

Edmund is survived by two sisters: Dolores (Mike) Michalek of Chicago, IL and Marcella (George) Zednek of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers: Jerry Eleanore Strzok of Buffalo Grove, IL and John Strzok of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister in infancy; and a nephew, Michael.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley with Fr. William Felix officiating. Burial followed in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Stanley. Visitation was from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
