Witte, Paul W. (8 SEP 1886 - 27 SEP 1963)
Paul W. Witte, 77, of route 2, Colby, died Friday, Sept. 27, 1963, at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, of complications of old age. Funeral services
were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ,
Colby.
The Rev. Carl Serr officiated at the services. Interment was made in the Colby
Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby.
Mr. Witte was born in the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.) Sept. 8, 1886. He
received his education in schools in the town of Hull. He worked for many years
as a mason, and also farmed. In his later years he was employed at Streckert's
Manufacturing Co., Abbotsford, until his retirement about 10 years ago.
In recent years he live in Abbotsford and the past six months he made his home
with a brother.
He is survived by two brothers, Frank Witte of the Wolff Nursing Home, Arpin;
and John Witte, route 2, Colby; and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Schuler, route 2,
Colby; Mrs. Ella Miller, Marshfield; and Mrs. Meta Miller, Portland, Ore.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
