Woodward, Lester C. (1 April 1884 - 23 November 1967)

Funeral services for Lester C. Woodward, 83, of Memorial Home in Neillsville, were held Monday from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. He died last Thursday.

Mr. Woodward was born April 1, 1884, in Neillsville. He attended schools he and worked for the Omaha railway for a number of years and for the Badger State Telephone co. for over 50 years. He also was a former member of the Neillsville volunteer fire department.

On December 23, 1903, he was married to the former Bessie Lee in Neillsville.

Mr. Woodward is survived by his wife and a son, Francis Woodward of Chicago, Ill.

Pallbearers were: Kenneth Short, Harry Frantz, Herb Smith, Ray Kutsche, Gerald Dankemyer and Clarence Bardell. Mrs. Jess W. Scott played the organ.

Mr. and Mrs. Francis Woodward of Chicago, Ill., were here for the funeral.
