Tyler, Louise H. (17 April 1911 - 13 January 2013)

Louise H. Tyler, 101, of Belvidere, IL and a six year resident of Maple Crest Care Center died Sunday, January 13, 2013 with her family at her side. Louise was born April 17, 1911 in Buckingham, IL the daughter of Dietrich and Clara (Dahling) Elmhorst. She lived in Belvidere for 45 years coming from Marshfield, WI. Louise married Ray E. Tyler on April 5, 1931 in Granton, WI. He predeceased her. Louise was an avid gardener winning Yard of the Month honors several times and many friends and family enjoy the crocheted items she loving gifted to them. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was active in the Pioneer Club, quilting and sewing circles, and serving luncheons for funerals.

Louise is loved and will be missed by her children Donald (Ann) Tyler of Tucson, AZ, Wayne (Sandra) Tyler of Los Ojos, N.M, Dewey (Jan) Tyler of Rockford, IL; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother Melvin Elmhorst, Omaha, NE. numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, husband Ray in 1987; one sister and two brothers.

The family would like to thank all the faithful nursing staff at Maple Crest Care Centre who provided lovingly for her care and comfort.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Pearl Street, Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Dr. Karl Otto officiating. Burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL.

Memorials may be given in care of Zion Lutheran Church in Louiseā€™s memory.
