Kippen, Karen (12 OCT 1963)
Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Knoll are making their home in Wausau where he is employed
at Marathon Electric.
Delbert Knoll, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Knoll of Abbotsford, and Miss Karen
Kippen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stickney of Minneapolis, were united in
marriage in a double ring ceremony Saturday morning at 10:45 a.m. in Wausau.
The bride was attired in a street length bridal gown which featured a long
sleeved lace bodice and billowing skirt of taffeta. Pearls and sequins formed
the crown which held her short veil. She carried a heart shaped bouquet of pink
roses and white carnations.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Art Langteau of Abbotsford,
brother-in-law and sister of the groom.
Mrs. Langteau wore a street length red chiffon dress and matching short veil
held by a crown of rhinestones. Red and white carnations formed the corsage
which she wore on her wrist.
For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Stickney chose a tan suit with tan and brown
accessories.
The groom's mother wore a green floral dress with brown accessories. Both
mothers had corsages of pink and white roses.
The bride's grandmother of St. Cloud, Minn., was present in a blue and knit suit
and accented by a corsage of yellow and white mums.
Festivities of the wedding day included a reception, dinner and dance at the
Abbotsford Village Hall.
About 150 guests attended. They came from Minneapolis and St. Cloud, Minn.,
Sheboygan, Plymouth, Laona, Milwaukee, Wausau, Medford, Dorchester, Athens,
Spencer, Colby and Abbotsford.
