Barritt, Fay (31 December 1919 - 21 November 1967)

Word has been received here that Mrs. Wayne Barritt, 47, a former Merrillan resident, died suddenly at her home in Milwaukee November 21.

The former Fay Fredericks was born in Michigan on December 31, 1919. She was a registered nurse and had been supervisor of several floors at Doctor’s Hospital, Milwaukee. While a resident here, she was employed as a nurse at both the Black River and Neillsville Memorial hospitals.

The Barritt family resided in Merrillan from 1956 to 1964, when they moved to Milwaukee. Her husband served several terms as village president and a member of the village board.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Barbara; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Jene) O’Connor of Rogers City, Mich., and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Cantwill of New Brunswick, O.

Funeral services were held in Milwaukee. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery, Milwaukee.
