Cook, Chester D. (11 September 1893 - 5 December 1967)
Chester D. Cook, of Des Moines, Ia., died Tuesday in Des Moines. Funeral
services are scheduled for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home.
The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ will officiate. Masonic
services also will be held.
Mr. Cook was born September 11, 1893, in Neillsville, the son of the late John
and Mary (Davis) Cook. He attended Neillsville School and for many years
operated a lunch business here. He later worked for Interstate Company, for
which he operated railroad restaurants for many years.
For the last 11 years he was the cashier at the State House in Des Moines. He
retired in 1963.
He was a member of Neillsville Lodge, No. 163, F. & A. M., Neillsville Chapter,
No. 66, R. A. M., and Neillsville Lodge No. 198, I. O. O. F.
He is survived by his wife, the former Zanza Cardarella, whom he married
December 31, 1914, in Neillsville.
