Nelms, Kendal Joy (Marriage - 23 November 1967)
Kendal Joy Nelms, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Harold Nelms of McMinnville,
Tenn., was married November 23, to the Rev. Richard V. Shriver of Murfreesboro,
Tenn., son of Judge and Mrs. Thomas A. Shriver of Nashville, Tenn. The
out-of-doors ceremony was performed at Vaspers Point, Beersheba, Tenn. a
mountain resort.
The bride is a June, 1967 graduate of the Middle Tennessee State University at
Murfreesboro and has been teaching in a high school in Chickamauga, Ga.
Rev. Shriver holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity degrees from
Vanderbilt University and is a minister and director of the Wesley Foundation on
the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. He is a former pastor of the
Merrillan and Alma Center Methodist and Hixton Presbyterian churches.
