Hederer, Virginia I. (Woodkey) (25 MAY 1918 - 01 JAN 2013)
Virginia I. Hederer, 94, of Colby, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Pine Ridge
Assisted Living in Colby.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby,
with Reverend Mark Neumann officiating. Burial will be in the Colby Memorial
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Dale Hoernke, Jerry Baumann Jr., Brian Schauer, Shawn
Bellendorf, Kendra Bellendorf and Brett Schauer. Honorary Pallbearers will be,
Brendan Schauer, Ari Movroydis and Niko Movroydis.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
Virginia was born May 25, 1918, in Loyal to August and Celia (Etta) Woodkey. She
was united in marriage to Herbert Henry Hederer on October 1, 1949, at Zion
Lutheran Church Parsonage in Colby.
Virginia attended Loyal Grade School until the age of 16, when she moved with
her family to Marshfield and attended Marshfield High School. She worked for the
Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield, retiring after 30 years of employment.
Virginia also farmed with her husband after their marriage in the Colby area.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Dale) Hoernke of Colby, Colleen (Jeff)
Dayton and family of Neillsville and Ellen Movroydis of Noblesville, IN.;
grandchildren, Daniella (Brian) Schauer of Dorchester, Gerald (Carrie) Baumann
Jr. of Colby and Michelle (Shawn) Bellendorf of Colby, Niko Movroydis of Kokomo,
IN., and Ari Movroydis of Noblesville, IN.; great-grandchildren, Brett and
Brendan Schauer, Hailey, Lucas, Lily and Ella Baumann, Kendra and Riley
Bellendorf.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Herbert; parents; sisters, Margaret in
infancy and Jean Woodkey; brothers, Norman and Jerry Woodkey.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching, bingo, going to coffee clutch and
she especially enjoyed spending time with her dogs.
Virginia was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, lifetime member of the Colby
American Legion Auxiliary, Clark County Humane Society, Audubon Society and the
Monthly Birthday Club group.
Maurina Schilling Funeral Home of Colby is assisting the family with
arrangements.
