Chapel, Myrtle E. (28 October 1884 - 8 December 1967)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in
Granton for Mrs. Myrtle E. Chapel, 83, of Rt. 2 Granton, who died Friday in
Neillsville. The Rev. William Dushek of Neillsville officiated. Burial was made
in Windfall Cemetery.
Mrs. Chapel, the former Myrtle Converse, was born October 28, 1884, in Granton,
and attended area schools. She had been a lifelong resident of the Granton area.
She was married June 6, 1906, in Granton to Leo Chapel, who died in 1943.
Mrs. Chapel is survived by a son, Ellis, of Rubicon; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert
(Hazel) Braun and Mrs. William (Josephine) Hiles both of the Granton area. Other
survivors include 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Oliver Williams, Richard Qualley, Rollie Dietrich, Robert
Canfield, Ted Kissling and Everett Mandt. Mrs. Leland Garbisch played organ
selections.
