Dyre, Joan Marie (Marriage - 9 December 1967)
Miss Joan Marie Dyre and Donald Szepanski both of Minneapolis, Minn., exchanged
nuptial vows December 9 in our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The
officiating minister was the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold. Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Szepanski of
Minneapolis, Minn.
“The Wedding Prayer” and “O Perfect Love” were sung by Mrs. Edward Weigert of
Fond du Lac, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Don Warner of Greenwood.
Miss Margie Dyre of La Crosse was maid-of-honor. Karen Szepanski of Minneapolis,
Minn., served as bridesmaid.
Bestman was Jim Cook of Richfield, Minn. Groomsman was Ray Griffith of
Minneapolis, Minn. Ushers were Arlen Stubert of Strum and Larry Stuber of
Mondovi. Wedding day events included a reception and wedding supper in Our
Savior’s Hall.
The new Mrs. Szepanski is a 1961 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended
the Lutheran Bible Institute. She is employed in the book store at the
University of Minnesota. The groom is a graduate of Augsburg University in
Minneapolis. He teaches science and chemistry in a junior high school in St.
Paul Park, Minn. They will make their home in Richfield, Minn.
